I received a dirty rejection for my first time, and as I don't have a good and trained eye for this, I can't see the dust spots...

Here is the rejected image...

And here is an equalized version...

Thanks in advance!
Nicolas Rubio

PS: I am not saying the screeners are wrong, the problem is with my eyes!

The link to the original doesn't work.

Equalize just the sky, or equalize the whole image while selecting the sky. Don't equalize the whole image by itself as that's generally not very good for spotting the problems.

To be honest I can't see any dust spots but the sky looks a bit grainy, the whites on the fuselage look a bit blown and it looks like it needs some CCW rotation IMO.

I've had a good look and I can't find any dust spots or blemishes. It's not just your eyes!  scratchchin

I agree. Also there´s a very strange colour array on this picture, too bluish.
As for the dirty rejection, I´d appeal. It would be a good idea to provide a link with the equalized version of the image, as a way of justifying clearly why you´re appealing.
Good luck with it!

Cheers!

I´d appeal.

I wouldn't...screener probably checked the wrong box. If this photo was rejected for only one reason, it should have been "exposure".

Well, I appealed... If it is rejected for overexposure I'd try to fix it, if not I may bin it...

Nicolas...

While I did not screen this photo.. After doing a quick scan of your equalized image, I do see a dust spot directly above the beacon towards the very top of the photo (above the thin line of white clouds).

Well, it was rejected for overexposure and level (although it wasn't badly leveled)... I'll try to fix it and reupload!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT: Here is what I came up with... First one is one pass of Burn Tool at 100% only over the whites, and the second one is one pass at 100% and another one at 50%... Which do you think is better?
