I've been playing lately with my new hardware (monitors, calibrator) and now I've uploaded the first picture with the new setup. It is possible to have some feedback (good and bad  Wink )about this picture:

What I noticed, when the picture is uploaded, it looks softer then the original jpg-file on my computer, is that possible?

Thanks in advance

It does appear slightly soft, and I think you've tried to compensate by sharpening a fair but. I love the motive and the light is very nice but I think its soft and because of that sharpening, it seems grainy on the shadows...

Hope this helps!

No expert, but I'd say that the blown highlights in the pylon will kill it.

I do like the close-ups like this though. Incidentally, is it a loose cover on the outboard engine core, just before the exhaust cone, or a blow-off of some sort?

Quoting Linco22 (Reply 1):

I think the engines are rather sharp compared to the fuselage. The fuselage's lack in sharpness however is probably due to the DOF.

Allthough I do not like the crop that much, I think the quality of the picture is excellent. On my LCD monitor, sharpness is just fine and lots of details are visible.

Personally I would add a little more local sharpness to the focus points of the fuselage, like the cockpit windows and the nose. The blown out highlights don't bother me at all and even add to the picture.

The lower part of the sky is a bit noisy, but this is something that can be solved quite easily by a tool like Neatimage (yes, a tool which CAN be usefull when used wisely  Wink ).

To be honest, to me it looks like its ever so slightly blurry. A slight amount of hand shake.

Great close shot though! Good capture.
