Hello!

I just got these two photos rejected for soft. I think I agree with the first one, but I do not with the latter one... What do you think?

OK, I sharpened the BOR photo a little... any better?

Big version: Width: 1200 Height: 800 File size: 594kb

Thanks in advance,
David

David,

First one is a touch soft, but I think the second I worse. Might even be slightly OOF??? On the second edit I still think the tail is very soft.

Regards
Colin

Nice David!

The sharpened one is better. TF-BOR is not a common reg in the DB so I think has a chance!

First is blurry here, so I've quit it.

Second is 100% not OOF, but CAN be blurry, or, this is the effect of a lots of crop.

Jajo, thanks...

Oh well!

Going to try this again if I can get a 1.4x... cropped a lot from 200mm.

David i think when your panning your focus point is moving as the aircraft is moving along but not focusing on the entire image .
You might know this already but try this next time your out.
1- All points focus not only on center point.
2- Use the servo mode on the camera that will help you achieve continuous focus as your panning.
Cool shots by the way.
Cheers

Ah! Always using the centre one...

Wow! I hate the servo mode... I'll think about it.
