What Do You Think Of These Two?

Hi all,

Haven't submitted photos for some time. What do you think of these two? (Click for the large version.)

I'm reasonably happy with the first one, but I'm worried about a motiv rejection due to the lady standing up at the far end of the cabin. I also like the second one, but I'm worried about quality.

Many thanks in advance for any feedback.

Tony

Hey Tony,

the first one looks pretty good to me but the window view could use a kick of contrast perhaps.

Ivan,

Thanks for the feedback! Does this version look better?

Tony,
The engine-pod has a lot of grain!
Sort of disturbing even to me, who once operated a Nikon D70!  scratchchin
Otherwise; Me likes!!!

In thrust I trust.

I removed the second from the queue and I replaced it with one with adjusted contrast, as Ivan recommended (and, yes, I do think it looks better):

Do you think it's a show-stopper? I haven't had much luck in dealing with grain...

Tony,

it is a little better but the noise is more pronounced as mentioned above, but I think it's acceptable. I would leave it and see what happens. What have you got to lose? Good luck.

Oh, nothing! I'll just resign to the eternal doom of a 40% acceptance ratio.  Smile

Seriously: thanks for the taking the time to write!

Exactly  Smile It goes up and down. My ratio was down to the 30's and I'm up in the 50's now, not that it really matters to me. I don't use up my slots anyways.
Glad I could be of some help.

Hey, I'm not complaining... I was done in the 10s for a long time, so 40s is a huge improvement!

Cheers,

Tony
