After all my recent rejections, I have lost any (little) faith I had in my editing skills. I tried to reappraise my workflow and look for weak spots that might explain these bad results, since the images itself are not bad at all. Now I have narrowed it down to my monitor, so all the following edits were done in a different one:
I would really appreciate all your comments - many thanks!

Hi Andres,
they are nice pictures, but I think heat haze played a major role in ruining them. I don't even bother going out in the summer time when the Sun is high.
I like the engine shot but I had this exact composition rejected for motive a while ago.

Andres
Nice pics!
The Sky 737 might suffer from some heat haze, specially in the lower parts of the aircraft.
The first LAN 767 is pretty OK I guess.
I see the second LAN shot (CC-CDP) blurry in the aft section of the a/c, on the reg. and the elevators. The GOL 737 has its winglet blurry, and the LAB shot is quite blurry as a whole.
As for the engine shot, I can´t comment about it. Better hear some words from the screening team.
Hope it helps. I look forward to seeing your 100th in the DB pretty soon.
Cheers!

Hi Gaston,
Many thanks also to you for your comments!
Sad to see that when someone (this time me) asks nicely, no screener seems to have time to put some words ...guess we'll have to follow Fyodors example

I better only comment on the centering and motive.
The GOL seems nice as fas as this is concerned, and the Sky OK.
Both the LANs and the LAB are a bit too high in the frame for me.
Due to the angle of the LAB shot it would also have looked nicer with half of the wing and most of the tailplane cropped out, in my opinion.
The engine shot doesn't look bad, but I think it will be rejected for not being centered on the engine, and for the clutter, sorry.
