AIRLINERS.NET CREW PHOTO SCREENER
I just had a batch of shots rejected all for overexposed and couple for contrast which i dont fully understand as on my monitor they seem pretty good and look fine with my normal accepted shots.
I was abit shocked to see all get rejected so im wondering whether i need to calibrate my monitor or has the exposure level changed on shots this year....

Those seem really harsh to me. I might appeal the Emirates one in particular. The other ones may not get in on appeal but a tiny shot of Shadow/Highlight tool should fix all the other ones right up.
It also makes me recommend you reduce the exposure on the one you have in the other thread as well, because if these were rejected for exposure, then the other one almost certainly will.

The Emirates one and Qantas 767 were 2 which really surprised me as Qantas one was taken at 7am in morning and rest by 8:30am and i know when to underexpose in mornings for summer time etc but just abit hesitant to upload anything in replace or even re edit them as i fear they'll get rejected aswell.
My start to the year with a.net got off well with 6 from 7 accepted but now within 12hours has gone downhill quickly!
If you do not agree with the screener decision, then use the appeal function and you'll get a repreive there....if deserved!
Okay Andrew,
Im abit hesitant to appeal shots as most of the time it doesnt work so ill put in an appeal for Emirates and Qantas 767 shot....Worst that can happen is my acceptance rate goes down!

Well with the new system that Johan has put in place, you won't get a double hit for rejected appeals, and if you get it accepted, the rejection rate will reset....can't say fairer than that!

Always glad to be of service. Now if only I could take my own advice and get some shots accepted, haha. Just kidding!
Congrats on getting your shots in. No matter how many shots you already have in the database, I'm sure the feeling of seeing "We have accepted one (or more) of your photos" never, ever gets old.

Well awoken to find the Qantas 744 one get accepted but when i appealed the Air Canada one the exposure was fine but the photo has been rejected on categories,Screener left comment saying my comment referred to hybrid which it is but when i checked Crossdata search the few photos(around 10 of it uploaded) have it mixed between hybrid and normal scheme.
So my opinion when uploading was it didnt matter as either way it was getting accepted.
Now im happy to get 3 appealed accepted but the Air Canada one just seems weird.
I appealed on exposure and came back with category rejection but checking database the aircraft is getting accepted with hybrid one or normal.

Anyone preferably screeners out there able to explain what happened with my Air Canada shot as i dont understand how appealling to head screeners on the One reason it was rejected results in it getting knocked back on different reason,Now if i knew beforehand i could included that in the appeal as the shot has been accepted with mixture of normal and hybrid selections so it seemed it didnt matter.
If the screener thought the appeal for exposure was fine which he did,why not accept it and either tick the box or just accept it.
Also a comment was included "You mentioned Hybrid in your upload info but have not selected the correct paint
category. Please be more consistant."
How do i be consistent when checking the cross data search it showed a mixture of both hybrid and normal entries......
