Hello all, I was just wondering what any of you (hopefully a screener) think of this shot. I am also wondering about what catagory (s) to use. I know it's a window view, but should I also check airport view? That and your opinions on the shot itself would be greatly appreciated......AR

That's an excellent shot as it is, but would have been fantastic if you could have included the whole of the engine. For me, that kills it. As regarding uploading, I'd say tick the wing view and thats it. The motive of the shot isn't the airport, its the view from the window and the airport is too far in the distance to be classed as an overview.

Ok, here is a modified version with the front of the engine and cropped a little tighter. The problem at the bottom of the full shot was some of the window frame was showing so I had to cut it closer. Does this one seem more acceptable? Also I agree on not using airport view but I want to hear it from 1 more person and that will take care of that...

Hi Anthony,
If you like the shot (with either crop), then don't hesitate to upload, as the worst that can happen is a rejection! Now, if you want another opinion, the picture doesn't work as it does not have a clear motive (the engine is cut, nothing really interesting on the ground, almost no wing), so it wouldn't surprise me that you would get a motive rejection.
Just sit back, relax and have a glass of Merlot...enjoy your life!

I am just wondering about motive............I am thinking it's a good motive but I wish a screener would pop up here and offer an opinion on it. All others are welcome and appreciated also, I am just getting so sick of rejections and I am sure I am part of a very large group here when it comes to that

The second shot looks much better to me. Motive wise, there's enough aircraft in the shot with a nice background and a bonus of an airport. I can't think why you would have a problem with motive. Go for it.
