So in my thread about needing a camera shop in MCO. I asked if it was ok to clone out the dust spots, and I didn't see that anyone reacted to that question. In another thread someone said they U/l'd shots where they had cloned out the dust, and no one reacted to that. So now I am wondering: can I clone out dust spots and not be crucified by the screener 'gawds'?
If you scan slides or negatives you *will* get dust spots, cloning them out is the only way to go - a 'must do' as Georg says.
However, when you upload just make a brief note in the comments to screeners box that you have cloned out some dust spots. That way you have covered yourself. Has worked for me over three years now
