I am getting up early tomorrow to go to MCO to take some sunrise shots. The question is: should I be on the east side of the field shooting at planes or should I be on the west side trying to get the sunrise and backlit planes? The latter seems to be popular as of late. But I want what should be easier to shoot 'on the fly'. Ted

In most cases you will get only a couple of minutes to shoot an attractive sunrise shot(if at all) then you will just be saddled with badly backlit shots.
If I were you I would head tp the Eastern side, at this stage you will get more satisfactoy shots and less dissapointment if you keep the Sun at your back.
If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!
