I know i might not be the first one to ask for this advice, but having had my fair share of airtime, especially in the last year (one of the reasons why i joined), i am eager to post some trip reports in the next couple of months. However, as much as i would like to share my on board, (and especially meal!) experiences with you, i am just simply insecure, and a little embarrassed to take photos on-board. Now the advice id need from you is to how discreetly take cabin pictures, especially when in premium classes...(wasnt sure where to post this. Trip reports seemed most appropriate) Thanks,would be greatfull if you could give the newbie some tips,

Just do it and don't be embarassed. If anyone asks just be honest and say you are writing a trip report for an on-line website. Just don't take anyone else's photo in the shot without permission. But you shouldn't feel embarassed - everyone does it.

I would agree with 9V just take them.
I don't usually use the flash and if your taking pics of your meals other passengers won't notice you as they'll be too busy eating.
Some FA's have seen me taking pics and don't bother at all.

I never had any problems taking pictures inside the planes and outside too. Of course there are some airlines/airports that can be more "friendly" to you regarding pictures. When I was in Colombia last summer I knew that maybe this place could be a bit more sensitive so before I would take pictures I would ask, I remember I was boarding a bus to go to my flight and I asked the bus-driver if I could get pictures, the guy stopped the bus and said I could take any pictures I wanted, I only had to stop if I saw a blue pick-up passing by....amazing. Then when I was waiting to board my plane I aproached the window, and I saw a security lady looking at me, so I asked if I could take a picture, she said no, so I stopped, but before I boarded the plane, in the stairs I took a "fast one" and noone said nothing to me.
