Hi Andy,

I wouldn't worry too much about the color and direct my attention to the sharpening part! There are parts oversharpened (mainly in the shadow areas, look at the engine, flaps, wing trailing edge, etc), while others are soft (mainly nose section, look at the cockpit). If you can fix that, then go down a little on contrast and saturation, and you are set to go!

Just sit back, relax and have a glass of Merlot...enjoy your life!

Hi Andy - I'd also agree with the nose being soft (its very noticeable), also when you look at the histogram the highlights are blown (slightly) and the blacks off the scale - this is the contrast problem.

Perhaps if you shot it in raw you could have a go at re-edit, go easy on the contrast target the nose for some sharpening.

Good luck with it.

Garry

Andy,

I would also lighten up the dark areas to show some detail under the wings.

I got my share of rejections earlier this week and I think that this shot won't make it due to the nasty reflection off the rudder. Also, others have already pointed out that it's soft near the nose.

Good luck,

Oleg.
