Hi all,
I uploaded the photo below as a priority upload, as it is the first XL 757-200 in the new livery. I did a web-wide search beforehand and it appears that I was lucky enough to be the first to capture this beauty - in lovely evening light too.
A few moments ago I searched the database for G-VKNA and the below image is the latest photo, taken this morning. Not to take anything away from Nik (I think he's a great photographer and have met him on a few occasions) but the weather was unfortunately terrible when he took this.
What perplexes me is that, although my shot may be rejected for this and that (I'm new to editing in PS), it was taken on 5th Feb in glorious sunlight and hasn't even been screened yet. What's going on here? Perhaps a screener or two could let me know the deal on this one?

Hi Karl, was a mistake on the screening teams part, the shot has been added now.

Karl - Is that the Air India Express 738? If so, it does not qualify for priority screening, only new stuff does, and we have two shots in the database already.

Oh right, OK. Sorry, I thought it could go as priority even if there were already only a couple of shots in the DB. My first edit of this shot was rejected for soft (that was before there were any other shots of it uploaded) and so I just assumed the re-upload should go as priority.

And also, Karl, AFAIK there are loads of 738 with Air India Express in the DB, so it cannot get priority at all if it's new.

Normally correct, however, designs with new tails are allowed, and this fits that scenario...

Yep, each AI Express 738 has a different tail design port and starboard, so the mission is to try to capture both sides - something I'm struggling to do with the limited hours of sunshine in winter!
So effectively, when a new aircraft gets delivered, it's different enough from the others to warrant a priority upload.
