Hy there,
have recently received the following rejection (quality and motive) :

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r...a_la_maddalena_al_finger_a_vce.jpg

Apart from the quality issue, I'd like to understand if the bad motive is due to the crop or to the "mobile finger" to the left of the aircraft which, apparently, do not influence the visibility of the aircraft. I recently saw a couple of "finger shots" on the db, so this possibility looks strange...
Thanks for any help.

Ciao

It are just stairs, nothing more nothing less  Wink. They do however block a pretty big portion of the aircraft (you can see a lot of wing and engine through the stairs which has yielded you this motive rejection. If you would have waited a bit until they were removed it would have been a lot better (Apart from the fact it's backlit, which doesn't exactly helps either)

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and ther

It's about a combination of things... Messy surroundings, backlit and quality problem (green fringing, overexposed top). Which makes us question the motive for (uploading) this photo.

So the rules are being made up as you go along?

If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

Because we screeners question the motive of a photo for numerous reasons, we reject it. What do you mean by 'making up rules'? Could you elaborate?

PS: In the motive rejection reason text: "Please note that motive rejections can also result from other, more subjective reasons. These are usually of an aesthetical nature".

Ed,
I see the point. Now it's clear. Thanks for feedback.  thumbsup
What about finger shots ? Is anything changed as general rule of acceptance ?
