Ok, so it's my birthday (again!) so Ihave decided to use my Manx2.com freebie (for a picture) and go to Blackpool.

However, it's qite a few years since I last went there and I haven't a clue where to go to get any pictures. Any help out there? Someone somewhere has to know the "in" spots and the "don't go there" places.

If not I guess I'll have to spend the day on the Golden Mile dreaming of Summer and hordes of tourists eating fish 'n' chips!

Andy

Andy,

Have you seen the Blackpool Spotters website? All the main viewing locations are given:

http://www.btinternet.com/~poolfc/viewing.htm

I've loads of photo's from around Blackpool if you want to have a look at the locations. Most of mine are taken from the back of Morrisons (shot on the left) and the gate by the fire station (one on the right).

There are apparently some sand dunes on the ocean side which are very good for arrival shots. They can't be too hard to find.

Thanks people. I should manage to get some pictures then, and a bit of exercise walking to Morrisons - just have to keep out of MacDonalds!! Big grin

I might even hire a car and mooch around the area. Anything much happen at Warton during the week?

Either it's the prison camp or the Butlins Holiday camp....Which one is it? and is there a difference?

Well, I had a good trip. Nice and sunny, flights were, er, unique and on time. Blackpool was shut for the most part although I did go up the tower. If I can be bothered I'll write an illustrated trip report! Big grin
