Kind of a bright glare on the front. Took my attention away from the plane. Awesome pic though

Nice shot but correct rejection; at least for the soft part (fuselage and wings need more sharpening). A little more contrast would also do the picture some good.
Nothing that couldn't be fixed with some careful editing.

Hi Robin,

That's a nice but tough one to edit! You have an obvious overexposed reflection and lots of shadow areas, which you know tend to look more soft. Nevertheless, a little curves adjustment could help you to tone down the reflection and brighten up the shadows, and then the same sharpening you did for this edit plus additional selective sharpening in the shadow areas, and it might get in. BTW, I don't know if it serves you any comfort, but I would agree with the rejection.

Wow, I really love the pic. It looks like something that would be on a Learjet advertisement.

I knew when I rejected this shot there would be a thread about it  Sad

I would be willing to overlook the blownout nose, because it is a special shot, but not in combo with the other issues.

Fix and reupload if you care too.

Smile I am sorry Royal that you prediction came true. I am aware that the shot has some flaws ... , but I thought I should give it a try as I like how it looks now. Just you know, I am not saying you did something wrong or want to bash screener or something like that ...
Not going to uplaod again for now .... , perhaps later the year ....

thx vm for suggestions and comments

Maybe something like this:

The reflections from the fuselage might still be a problem though.

Robin - on a personal note, I do like the shot. It's just that letting shots in with flaws creates a slipper slope, you should see the emails we get...someone would get a rejection for a blown out Germanwings A319 side on Dusseldorf shot and then compare it (as an example) your shot.

I hope you can find time to sharpen it up.

If anything the reflection adds to the shot. It's one of those rare times, where I would have thought that the reflection actually did not matter one little bit...

It's a crying shame in my eyes...

Would be rejected for over-sharpened.

Here is a quick try. The upload is almost a little over-sharpened like it is, hard to get it good without starting from scratch with the original.

I agree .... , but the wings are soft .... , also could have a tiny bit more contrast ....

True !  Wink But as allready mentioned, the pic has minor flaws and it could be done better, so I am going to try to reupload sometime in the future ....

Anyway, I think I have become much better the recent years in accepting personal rejections.

Thx again for all your suggestions.
