Usually I have a good idea how to fix rejections or learn from where I went wrong. With these two I am at a complete loss. I also don't agree that they are not quality photos meant for Anet, with whatever advice from better eyes than mine, they should be able to be fixed and added. I think that is my biggest dislike with the quality rejection in general, I don't have any clue as to where to start with either photo. Thanks for any help, it is appreciated.
PS Before anyone mentions the size of photo #2, I know it is at 1500 pixels wide, I did that on purpose.

Hey Matt,

heat haze got the best of the first one. Still nice though. I'm not sure about the second one, looks pretty damn good to me.

I've got an awful monitor here at my workplace and I can't see anything wrong with the pics.
But in #1, there's something over #1 engine. I'm sure it's a pressure vortex.
#1 is impressive anyway. Congrats!

Hello Matt

For the first shot, I agree with Ivan.

For the second one, I don't think it's sharpened properly which is the major problem in my opinion, such as, jagged title. The contrast in this shot doesn't look perfect. And it's also slightly grainy in places. I think it may look better if it's downsized to 1024.
