This is an unedited version (resize only) of a shot. What things in the editing process should be done to get this acceptable for A.net?

Thanks

Depending on the quality of the original....

1. Level it.
2. Remove colour cast.
3. Crop it (make sure aircraft is centred).
4. Check for dust spots.
5. Sharpen it.

Was it taken through a glass window? There is an overall wierd look to the colour.

Had a quick play with it:

Ashwin's photo

The following editing was done in the mentionned sequence:
- Cropped and resized
- Removed dustspots
- Corrected levels (highlights vs dark areas compensation)
- removed color cast
- added some saturation
- lighting/contrast
- sharpening

The photo might stand a chance but as Martin already said it depends on the quality of the original; the major problem with your shot is primarily the high sun which renders the top of the plane very bright vs the underside being very dark and secondarily the shooting through some glas which gave it this awful color cast which costs photo quality when you correct it.

Good luck!

Thierry

The fuselage looks completely washed out. You're not gonna get that on anet I'm afraid.
