Hi all,
since the last similar thread is almost ten months ago I thought it'd be nice to do it again. So how are you doing with your acceptance ratio?
I'll start and tell you mine:
Based on your 50 most recently screened photos: Accepted: 20 Rejected: 30
Acceptance Ratio: 40% Photos in DB: 240 In upload queue: 9
Photos allowed in upload queue: 10 Photo uploads available: 1 Why?
At the end of february I was up to 70% but it decreased when I uploaded my first nightshots and tried to be a little bit more experimental, I mainly got motiv, blurry and dark rejections.

I blame my drop from 70% on my ability to attract big black clouds wherever I take a camera. Seems like every time I plan a trip at the moment, the weather closes in on me when the day before and after the sun has his hat on! Fingers crossed the sun shines on 24th May, I'll be in Liverpool for the return of the Champions league flights. Here's hoping for some interesting traffic other than the usual EZY and FR's.

I will be quick in saying

But hey, when you get rejected, you grab the camera, head out the door and try to get a better shot then the last one you uploaded. or in my case this time, you spend $1700 on a new DSLR camera and accessories to ensure that your next shots are better quality.
Mind you the instant I get my first photo accepted, I will be breaking open a beer and celebrating..... how far I have come with my photography.

Wow, if I understand correctly, in the last 7 days you accepted 71% of the 2125 images you screened, and only rejected 29%. That's about 300 images/day, and about 3/4 of these accepted...is that a reflection of the high quality of the uploaded pictures? Or does it mean that some one goes through the queue first and 'cleans' it from the many obviously flawed pictures, so screeners don't waist their time with these?
Nevertheless, I think to screen 300 pictures/day on average is actually quite an achievement . Now it would be interesting to see your stats for appealed shots

It definitely is, well done! The upload queue has also been constantly below 8,000 shots this week, currently even at 7200!
