In N' Out is my favorite spot, its not the best spot for trying to get shots on to Anet except for late evening/sunset shots, but for watching airplanes up close while eating some good fast food, I recommend it as a must do if you go to LAX.
Lighten up while you still can, don't even try to understand, just find a place to make your stand and take it easy

I second the In 'n' Out. If you just want to kick back and watch the action, there's a nice little grassy area adjacent to the actual fast food joint. When transitting through LAX on the way home, I always allow a long-ish layover before the late night flight back to Sydney and head to In 'n' Out. It's an idyllic way to spend the evening!
I suppose, as a photographer, I should check out some other spots. But hey... you can never have too much of a good thing!

My understanding is you can't shoot from the Rad rooftop anymore. That site does not list the area which I think is tops. Parking lot C. That's where I sat for hours. Whether its a 744 or a saab 340, that lot is great!
I feel woozy....what did you put in that Pudding Pop?
