HEAD SCREENER

Hi,

This one has been rejected for "Quality" and "Soft". I agree with the soft rejection. But can anyone help me find what to address about quality ?

Thanks a lot
Patrick

Hi Patrick.
I'm no screener but i think the shot might have got the dreaded quality rejection because it has more then 1 flaw in it.
The shot looks a bit grainy and dark to me and also soft.
I think the shot has potential and can be saved .
Its a lovely looking shot and i think a re edit would be good.
Cheers

I'd agree with it being a little dark, but I can't see the grain here.

Sharpening to me, is very close, but could do with a tad more. Just watch jaggies too. I'd do an auto colour just to make sure too. If it looks to weird, then revert.

It can be saved. Its very close the way it is to me. Good luck with it.

The image is muddy, a little dark and it looks very correctable. There is also a red cast that can be corrected by adding a little cyan.
As you brigten the image, that cast actually appears less evident.
The sharpness is not far off the mark at all, just a touch more being needed - look at the nowewheel where it is best seen

Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll try a re-edit.

Hi Mick, what coïncidence! I just re-studied your reading suggestion about curves and how to use them to remove color cast. The method was not applied to this shot which was uploaded already...  Smile
Cheers
