i have two photos successfully uploaded to this website but it is not from the want of trying. so i enclose a couple below and would like opinions if they would get a look in or not. they have been heavily doctored in PS as the conditions were not very good.
i also enclose a pre and post PS shot and would be grateful if there is any way you could imporove the photo to get it accepted (they are not actually the same shot as i can't find the original of the edited version). Personally i don't like the edited one but i know the original would never get a look in so have played around with the image.
they are all of a grey morning at manchester....everytime i go it is always grey.

There is probably little chance to get them accepted here at anet because of various reasons...
1)still the best picture in my opinion, but I does look a bit flat to me, meaning it needs a bit more contrast.. It is way too much oversharpened (have look for example at the border between the left wing and its flap, you can see some big jaggies over there...) And it probably need a little more CCW rotation..
2)You probably brightened it up a lot. so all the dark areas got grainy.. There is no way this one can be saved for anet..
3)looks quite blurry to me, so even if properly edited it will not get the quality for anet...
4)way too much oversharpened here... plus it is grainy..
Those conditions didn't made it easy to get a good shot... If one can be saved it is the first one, but I even there I think it will be very very hard......
Hope this helps a bit...
If you want to, you can send me a copy of the original by email, and I give it a try in editing for you..

Sorry mate, don't bother uploading any of these. Grey weather pictures can look good (condensation, dark thunderous skies, reflections), but in these... no. Keep 'em for yourself and hope the weather is better on your next trip to the airport. As is noted on the upload page: Upload only your very best to A.net!
