I will be in transit for a few hours at O'Hare in a few weeks time. Flying into T5 on United with a connecting flight from T2 (probably) Where is the best place to see / photograph while in transit.

I don't do much spotting up at O'Hare but I will tell you the west side of the field is surrounded by trees and a hill. Also you get a pretty good view from from the highway on the east. You can take Mannheim road and on the side closest to the airport there are some great spots behind some buildings to get a great view of smaller airliners coming in on 4R. Terminal 3 is pretty good. Specifically I refer to the tips of the concourses (around Gate H18, K18, G20, etc.).

Terminal 1 is also good, especially concourse C (the island).

I don't recall the viewing situation in Terminal 2, and I never went into Terminal 5.

Be prepared to walk ... alot.

I fly out of T-3 every month....the views of the international terminal is quite good...
