Best Time Of Year To Visit SXM?

I did a massive search but didn't find what I was looking for. I am planning on going to SXM but was wondering what the best months for photography are? How about the best months to go to the islands in general? I am from California so getting out of the cold is not really a necessity for me. I would love to spend about a week there doing all the tourist stuff, getting some shots, and maybe visiting St. Bart's as well. Anyone with experience want to share some insight? Thanks.
