Hi all

Below is a link to a picture taken by my MOTHER when she was in Gibraltar in August:

It was taken with a Minolta Vectis APS camera on 200 speed film.

As you can see the quality is great and goes to show that low cost, budget cameras do take good shots under the best conditions.

If she gets more 'hits' than my pics, I might ask Johan to delete the pic Big grin

Hope you like it anyway.

Regards

I'm going to upload some photos of the Martinair DC-10 crash at Faro back in 1992 taken by a friend of mine, as I didn't photograph at that time. I'll give him full credit as the photographer on the remarks field.

P.S. BTW, Gibraltar is unique

Great pic! A road is crossing the runway!!!

Sorry to say that Gary but my EOS IX Lite that was an APS SLR sucked. Even the most primitive 35mm camera gave better results. YES to cheapER cameras but NO to APS. Take a look at my photos (75 photos) on the dadatbase. I am sure that you will distinguish the ones taken with 35mm and the ones taken with APS!

Hi all

Andy(EMA)
the screeners don't screen their own pics.
Just putting the record straight.

Yann
I don't care for 'hits' so make of it what you want.

Glad you all liked the picture anyway.

Gary,

Yeh... I know that the screeners don't screen their own - there was a  Smile/happy/getting dizzy after my comments!!!  Big grin

So, the question is, did you upload the pic just to illustrate that cheaper gear can deliver results, or do you really see your mother as a budding airliners.net contributor?  Big grin Big grin

Shame on you Gary Watt - your mother's pic is more popular than around 600 of your own shots!!!  Nuts

Hi all

Andy, when my mother goes on holiday I always ask her to take a few shots when she is at the airport.

I never expect her to produce something fantastic. I have some pics from Boston, Palma, Malaga, San Fransisco, Los Angeles......all are crap Big grin

I was very surprised when I was looking at her Gibraltar shots. Two came out perfect.

She will not become a regular so she decided not to register onto the Airliners site. She also has no e-mail address hence me uploading the pic under my name and my e-mail address. However I did credit her.

I am happy that Johan liked her picture and she is happy too.

Longer lense needed.
