I got one like that a year or so ago. I just politely explained what should have been obvious, that I'm just a hobby photographer and that A.net isn't an aircraft classified listing. Too bad we'd go to jail for taking deposit money from people who try to buy the aircraft from us.  Smile

Eh, this looks like a scam, not a serious buyer. Either that, or the law school he went to did not focus on spelling.

Alex.

I think they are hoping that they find someone dishonest who will try to fleece them, but they will undoubtedly be better at that game. This has happened to me several times in the past
Surely no-one is quite that stupid ?

I don't know about that Mick, I get about one or two every 6 months wanting to buy a aircraft that I took a picture of. There are a lot of "stupid" people in this world.

I hadn't thought of that possibility. But my guy says he's an attorney - that would surely discourage me from trying to sell him an aircraft I don't own.

I'm thinking that perhaps some people are so business and money orientated that they assume us to be financially involved in these planes - that they can't imagine people taking and publishing photos just for fun. Which if true I think is very sad.

This is the first I've had for a while, but I've just had an email titled Quotation

Quote:
Dear Darean,

Could you please provide me with a quotation of the Hawker Siddeley HS-748 sRS2a/275 aircraft to be used in the Democratic Republic of Congo?

Best regards,

Dr Guillaume IYENDA.

Needless to say, I shan't be providing a quote or replying to this one, it's already in the bin! He didn't even get my name correct!

Darren
