Waving FO - A No Go?
User currently offlineCarlos From Germany, joined Feb 2006, 225 posts, RR: 1

Hi,

while editing this picture I noticed that the FO is waving to the spotters next to me.

http://www.airliners.net/uf/view.fil...8993&filename=1183801130zurjJW.jpg

I heard that a waving CPT or FO always leads in a rejection of the picture. Is this true?
I like the picture but I don't want to get it rejected...

Thanks for your help!

Greetings
Klaus

If that's the main focus, yes.
I think your picture could be ok, re: waving F/O.

Your picture would stand for itself even without the FO waving so you'll be fine regarding this. Just to be sure, don't write anything about the FO in your Remarks field.

Good luck with the photo!

Sorry to post in your thread here Klaus but I had exactly the same question although in the image I was editing the FO is waving out the window. Is this a no go or is it acceptable ?

thanks
James

Well, heres a deal: I am an FO and I usually wave to the spotters because I sometimes go spotting myself. Next time I will wave just ONCE and then look straight out of the front window and wont wave again
I dont want to be the reason why your pictures get rejected...

P.S.: and I always thought you guys like it when we wave at you... but apparently you dont...  Sad

Btw Wilco: why do you have so few pics in the db; you must have tons of opportunities to take some cool shots!?

No honestly, i give friendly waves away all the time, and as mentioned before, as long as me and my hand are not the main motives and you don´t type any hitseeking comment like "hey cool, the F/O is waving at me", etc. photos with waving pilots are ok.

cheers,

Denis
