I am gonna spend the next week in the Interlaken area. Time and girlfriend permitting I plan to do some photography at Meiringen and/or Payerne. Is there anyone who can help with info regarding flying times at those bases?

Hi Javier!
Don't know for spotting opportunities in that region but while you're there be sure to drive up to the small village of Grindelwald; it's one of the prettiest locations in the region and only about a 30min drive away from Interlaken.

... and if your girlfriend wants to see something else, there are plenty of places to visit in that area. As Thierry already pointed out, Grindelwald is certainly worth visiting (and from there, you can also take the special train, which takes you to the highest railway station in Europe -> Jungfraujoch which gives you a breathtaking view on the Aletsch Glacier!).
