I just bought Photoshop Elements 5, I really like it already, but I have a problem reducing the Image size.
I wanted to upload a Picture in a forum, maximum size at this forum is 500mb. So I reduced the Picture to 483 mb.
But the Upload server told me, my Picture is 1003mb.
Did I make a mistake? I already took a look to the handbook, but I did like it is explained in there.
Does anyone know what the problem could be, and what I can do?
A 1 gig file is certainly large. Make sure that you are saving as a .jpg I don't use PSE 5 but the only way I could imagine a file that large is if it was saved as a .bmp Even then I'm not so sure.
Read your users manual. Find the resize function. For a forum post you can resize to about 500 pixels wide. save as a .jpg. File size should be well within limits.
