As a follow on to my post about Sunday at MAN is anyone around at the Row on Sunday, weather looks better for LHR than MAN.

Typical, nice weather for a week, camera gets delivered today and the Met office change the forecast for the weekend.

As long as it is dry I want to go out just to try the camera out. I know I could stay at home and shoot this and that but want to give it a trial on aviation.

Regards

Simon

Hey, funny you mention it, i was planning a short trip up to LHR on the weekend, either saturday or sunday. I'd be glad to meet up on sunday. Frankly i don't do photography, but that shouldnt be a problem should it?

On a related note, anybody got a clue where this one was taken from?

I know where it was taken but you won't be able to access there. Your right is close by the Hotel but that is not taken from the hotel.

Should be 27L landings til 3pm then 27R in the PM.

27R arrivals are not easy ones to get at LHR, better to go to the "huts"

Hi

Just a note about taking shots like the JET A330. Its only good light late pm 19.30-20.00, and now we have missed most of the summer due to rain the 19.30-20.00 good light is going fast. If Sat is sunny it might be the last chance to shoot shots looking south. Your need things like the Jet & Eva to be running late as the suns a bit on the nose at 18.30.

And the JET 330

Tony

Well i whent and got roasted at LHR Shame they were on 09s till late PM so i loiterd at the Heathrow Academy and sweated with my freind Steven in his motor with the constant info bursts from resident Spotters with SBS1 Boxes going all day.

Lots of new machines were noted and I tried to shoot a few but it wa against the Sun so not worth showing here.

Till late PM when they switched to 27s and i left for caines lane bad choice as terrible music was playing loud nereby some Kind of CHAV Music event nere Mertyle avenue still i got to se VT-JED a second new VT- 777 in a dayas VT JEC had arrived in the morning!

I herd the feild at 09 left was busy today with Photogs!

LHR spotting is good on weekends and if you stay out of areas that you shouldnt go into on week days.

The white huts down nere 27 right are now out of Bounds for Vehicles as they are now barrierd off to all but those with the correct Pass.

Mertyle avenue is still the premier 27 left photo spot while 27 right your stuck out in the middle of no where on the bit of grass nere the now closed Level crossing .

09 lefts Field is still active when they are on 09s 09 right is possible to view from the Service station down nere 09 right threshold, Must get down there next time they are on 09s and give it the once over as it was closed fopr at least a year or more.
