Unusual.....it's now mid-August and the Q is only at circa 5000+!! Truly amazing when you think it's been up at 12-14000 in previous years at this time.
I'd just like to thank the hard working sceeners who must be working day & night to keep it down to that sort of level!

This is a very good achievement nonetheless; well done!

AIRLINERS.NET CREW HEAD SCREENER
Hi all
Thanks for the comments.
Some screeners are working hard so thanks to them. Yes, some not so nice weather in the UK (surprise surprise). Also we are not seeing a lot of card dumping recently which is good. I think photographers are pre-screening their own stuff before uploading. The message is getting through.

Well, if they had just halted the uploads (save for priority shots) for a week or two like I propsed X number of months ago, we wouldn't even be in this position.
"About the only way to look at it, just a pity you are not POTUS KFLLCFII, seems as if we would all be better off."

Thanks to all of the screeners for their hard work. My only concern, is this going to be a blip which gives everyone more uploads free in the queue so by 23/24 Aug there are 2000+ added back into the queue?

Quoting Mirage (Reply 4): It would be even better if the upload limit were something like 10 photos per week for each photographer, this is just an example.

Great job screeners!
There are a total of 4586 photos from 1129 photographers waiting to be processed on the upload page (2 waiting for Johan and 4584 waiting for the screeners).

There are downsides to this though. Currently, there are 951 new photos added to the database in the last 24 hours. A lot of photos are getting lost in the "dump". Just a different perspective.

Hi screeners
Thank you really very much for the effort you´re putting on the queue. It´s awesome.
I just found out when I got the result of a pic I uploaded just on Saturday! Unbelievable!
It means people take 130 shots on one day and upload them all in 3 or 4 goes.
We have indeed put a lot of effort in the past days and we deserve the praise Seriously though, screening is fun when the queue is going down each time you open the screening page. Hopefully, and I say hopefully we can get it below 4000 in the next few days.

That's actually true. Then again, the 'special' pictures will always get their audience, as they quickly jump to the front page. But this will become less of a problem once the screening throughput is stable again.
Just sit back, relax and have a glass of Merlot...enjoy your life!

Seriously, good job to all of the screeners, you've worked quite a lot lately, and deserve some rest.
