Is This Picture Really Soft?

Hi,

I got this picture rejected today with the reason SOFT:

I can't see any soft areas in the picture.

What do you think, should I appel?

Yes, it is sharp at the nose but gets progressively softer as it moves to the tail. Sharpen up the tail.

I see it is very soft on the tail as mentioned, but I also see it as being very soft right on the nose.

Speaking of 'soft'... This one was rejected for that reason; looks pretty sharp to me. Maybe it is not the case on other monitors; could you guys please have a look, I need some advise on (selective) sharpening of it. Also, do you see any other quality issues?
