Hey guys,

I got this one rejected for dark:

Do you think I can save it? Maybe by decreasing contrast?

Thanks.

Tony

Yeah, that would probably help. Also, this shot could benefit from just a touch of the Shadow/Highlight tool.

Hi, thanks! Here's my new attempt, any better?

So, I don't use Photoshop, I use the Gimp. And I don't know whether it has this functionality.

Thanks again for taking the time to write.

Yes, it's a little better.

Ah. A shame!

Okay then, I did an edit where I used the Shadow/Highlight tool and adjusted contrast accordingly. Bad thing is that it introduced a little bit of grain, but not much. Still don't know if it's up to acceptable yet though. Maybe we can get some screener input:

Emphasis on "a little", right?  Smile

Yeah, this looks pretty nice. I'll see how I can reproduce this edit with the gimp. Meanwhile, I'll pull my current submission.

Oh, the elusive screener input...  Smile

Cheers!
