Anyone using this. I have it, second hand so i dont have a book to teach me how to use it. Anyone recommend good literature so I can start editing my photos. thanks

A visit to any large bookstore will reveal many books on PS and most have been updated or rereleased for CS3.
If your focus(no pun intended) is photography.. whch is likely.. rather than graphic design, look for books that are more aimed at photographers.
Authors like Scott Kelby, Tom Ang are just a couple to look out for but there are many more.

[Edit] I forgot to add - Tim Grey (another author of many Photoshop books and Microsoft's point man for their digital imaging efforts http://www.microsoft.com/prophoto) has a newsletter called the Digital Darkroom to which you can subscribe for free. He does as for a donation if you like it, but it's free to try...
