Hey guys,

I struggled last night while looking for a registration of a F18 Hornet.
This is the picture
http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...71115_USNavy_F18_DXB_14Nov2007.jpg

I know it is not centered, and I will correct that....but some info, I submitted where incorrect. Hopefully help is on the way, Would love to have this one in the database....

Thanks
Vasco

Awesome shot as always Vasco - but you need to center it, the aircraft is in the right side of the frame! You may even consider a portrait format for this shot, it may look even more dramatic.

It might be my tired eyes, but it looks a bit dark as well...

Good luck with it, hope to see it in the d/b very soon!

Looks to me like an F-18F not an Echo!

Cheers

If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

Yes crop looks weird, and you didn't provide a reg so that explains the info

Cheers

Try Googling the number of the stabilizer in combination with "F/A-18". If you can figure out what squadron the aircraft is with you may be able to Google that also and find out the registration from there is well. Very awesome picture and certainly would be a fine addition to the database IMHO.

This link may help - scroll about 1/3 of the way down and you'll see AB.

You should also enter "AB-111" in the code field. FYI, this aircraft is from squadron VFA-211 "The Fighting Checkmates" out of NAS Oceana.

thanks guys for your help. Got it myself the other night....still good to know that there are resources out there.
Uploaded it again, cropped and with the correct info....it was rejected. Laptop editing is not a good thing. Will try it again once I am home.
