This Saterday 15 dec I will be at Johannesburg Airport for a 7 hours wait for my flight to Amsterdam. Are there any good spotting places in the airport or outside the airport? If yes where can I find them?
I have only my 20-105mm lens with me and would like to make some photos.

Yes, there is a great observation area. I'm sure you can find out where it is via signs. However, not sure if it's in the inernational or domestic terminal.
The proper term is "on final" not "on finals" bud...

the observation deck in the domestic terminal is excellent as is the one in the international terminal, both are easy to access and sign posted. be aware that you won't see many landings if 03R is in use because the a/c touchdown at a point that isn't visible from either deck. Outside the airport requires a car and you probably won't have enough time to get too the specific spots depending on the runway in use...stick with the terminal, its great for afternoons only.
