PHOTO SCREENER

Hi,

yesterday, before my departure from Vienna I took this nightshot through the window of the waiting hall. I had no tripod with me and that's why I had to use a sill to place the camera on.

I edited the shot and now I'd like to know if it's maybe sth for the database.

Thanks in advance

Looks nice however...don't be surprised if you get a foreground clutter comment...j

Hmm, I'd be worried a motive rejection for the foreground clutter (as Soon7x7 wrote). But definitely keep it in the Q, it's a fantastic shot.

IMO, the foreground "clutter" is perfect for the motive of this shot. It's not excessive by and means and doesn't block any part of the aircraft. It would be a shame if this didn't get in.

Yeah, I really don't think it'll be a problem with this shot.

Unrelated - Flynavy, what lens do you use on your 400D? I've got a 400D being shipped to me as we speak - those are some stunning shots you've taken.  Wow!

I use the EF 100-400 IS mostly. Other than that I also have an EFS 18-55 (the kit lense) and a 75-300 (non-IS piece of crap that I started with). The EF 100-400 IS is a bit pricey but IMO pays for itself. Most spotters I know who use Canon equipment use this lense. I don't regret it one bit...

That being said, it's unfortunate this lense isn't weather sealed. Still, it's worth the investment.

Yep, I've heard many good things about the 100-400. I'm gonna have to stick with my kit 18-55 for a few years, though. I don't have that kind of money.  Smile

I assume you used your 18-55 for most of your close-ups, such as the simulator shots?

Yeah, though I'm seriously considering getting a fisheye lense.

This is one that I don't think the ramp clutter causes an issue. It doesn't with me anyway. I like it!

Good deal!...nice shot...if it were mine I would have had it kicked back as foreground clutter by both sites...j
