Hey all, I will be taking a cruise in mid March that will take me to the island of St. Maarten and i plan to head over to the airport and take some pictures. Just wondering when do most of the heavy's come in like Air France and KLM and some of the U.S. Carriers. And also where are the best places to get a good photo besides right on the beach, are there any places where i can get a unique angle.

Peak times are from 12:30 until late afternoon when AF leaves. There are 3 or 4 AA 757's, US 757 or A320, CO 757 or 737, NK A319 (Fri-Sat-Sun), AF A340, KL MD11, Corsair 744. This is from memory from July.

Bumping this thread to ask some questions of my own as I'll be going to SXM in mid-February.
1) Lenses => I plan on bringing my Canon 20D with EF-S 10-22 and my EF 24-105 lenses. Which lens would you say I'll use more? Is there much use in bringing a long zoom? If not, I'd rather leave the bulk at home.
2) Flight Schedule => SXM airport website has a PDF flight schedule, but it is titled "2007 fall program" so I assume it isn't up-to-date (certain flights, like Corsair, aren't listed on it). Does the schedule change much for the period in which I'll be there (winter/February)?

KLM MD 11 comes in on fri and sun eta around 18:00
Best days sat & sun from 11:00 thru 16:30
