Hello Tom,
have a look at the rejection page of your photographers account, there it is said for what reasons these photos were rejected..
There first one definately (as you already mentioned) for the big dustspot appearing in the sky. And IMHO it could use a little more contrast in the mid and highlights, but definately nothing in the shadows, as they are already quite dark!!
Something like this I have in my mind.... (Hope you don't mind I had a quick edit with it...)
BTW be careful there are two further less visible dustspots left of the mountain
The second one might also be a bit bright, contrast and oversharpened...

Tom.
I am really taken by your photo of Milford Sound - those mountains look spectacular.
I would be very happy to help you with an edit if necessary, as that photo deserves a place here. Feel free to contact me via my profile if you would like me to help out.

Quoting Woodentom (Reply 3): not sure what you mean tim by "a -"
He mean't a "-". Read the page after the upload very carefully. It mentions in in there. For Airport overviews, the Aircraft and the Airline fields should be marked with a "-" (dash) if there is no aircraft or part there of, visible.
I don't know if this is the right way (but this is how I do it) is to upload with "Untitled" in the airline field, "Unknown" in the aircraft field, then change them on the next page, after the upload is complete. This is the page, where you select categories and so on.
