Hi there.

It's been a while since I've uploaded anything to Airliners.net, and know full well that the standards have gone up quite a bit since those days past. I was thinking of giving this one a try as I love how the aircraft looks, but worry that there may be too much apron clutter. I was looking for some opinions on whether you think it would result in a rejection or not.

Thanks.

Dave

Since the clutter is not really covering the aircraft I dont feel distracted, I believe it is ok. The picture however needs some CCW rotation and might be a bit oversharpened (jaggies on windows and tail).

Greetings,
Philip

I'm not so sure, I think it can get rejected for the clutter.

You can easily crop out some of the clutter out, though - the vehicle bottom right, the vehicle to the left of the engine, and most of the not-so-pretty skybridge on the right. This way the focus will be more on the plane and the vertical centering will be better too.

What's the scratch in the sky top right?

Nice shot, but I think it should be re-cropped as well. Some ramp lice is acceptable, but if you can crop it out of the frame I would do it. Here is an example of how I would crop it:

Thanks for the feedback everyone. My last question is the registration. I see "5TF" on the nose wheel, but I can't track down how that relates to the registration. I don't see it as the serial number, or am I incorrect?

Thanks!

Dave

That is the fleet code. You can search for it here if someone has entered it. Most American Airlines have the fleet codes entered into the DB but this 757 doesn't.

Someone might know the info though.

Make sure you put that in the code field when you upload the photo so the next time it comes up people can find it.  Wink
