(very cool place BTW; I'd recommend that you'd visit if you are in the area...)
I snapped quite a lot of pictures, but it was in the middle of the afternoon and the light was very harsh; so not a lot of them came out well. I have no experience in getting such pictures accepted in the DB (most of mine are cabin / window shots) so I would like your opinion on which shots, from the ones below, to potentially submit. Note: I haven't the "a.net editing" on the pictures; I just sized them down (click for a larger version); the quality is fine, I'm just looking for motiv feedback.
B-17G (overexposed?):
B-29A (overexposed?):
C-46D (power lines kill it?):
HH-43B cockpit:
B-47E (overxposed on the nose?):
KC-135A:
R5D-4 (overexposed on the nose?):
F-14D (yes, I chopped off the nose; but I think you get a bit more detail of the different equipment on the side of the Tomcat):
B-24M:
One more thing, would the B-17G, B-47E, and KC-135A be considered as "colorful", given the markings on their side?
Thanks once more for your time. Regards,
Tony

Walter,
Hey, thanks for replying! Yes, I thought this thread will be right up your alley...
Quoting Walter2222 (Reply 1): I would crop the KC-135A (including nose-wheel) and the Tomcat (nose) differently, if possible...
Notice that the pictures were basically straight out of the camera and only sized down. Yes, the KC-135A, as well as maybe the Liberator, need a tighter crop (maybe 4:3 instead of 3:2). The Tomcat needs to be a bit tighter too. BTW, out of them, the Liberator is probably my least favorite shot. Anyway...
Quoting Walter2222 (Reply 1): PS: The C-46D is a bit high in the frame (just my thoughts...)
Yes! As well as the B-17G, B-47E, and R5D-4 (at least).
Quoting Walter2222 (Reply 1): I don't think that the markings on the nose qualify for "colorful", since at minimum the full tail should be colorful...
OK, thanks for the clarification!
Regards,
Tony
