My foto-equipment has been stolen by burglars at my home and I was wondering which equipment can be recommended as being good in quality at a good price. If I speak about material it is not only the body but also
info about zooms (28-105mm and 70-300mmm). Second question which is bothering me is if it is not time to go digital ?
Any suggestions more than welcome !

Depends on what you call a good price of course, but you could do worse than:
- Nikon F80
- Sigma 28-70 f/2.8 EX ASP DF
- Sigma 100-300 f/4.0 EX APO IF HSM
Those lenses are expensive, you may want some cheaper (slower) alternatives (maybe as a stopgap until you can afford them):
- Nikkor 28-80 AFD
- Sigma 70-300 DL
A digital SLR sounds nice, but the body, flashcards and spare batterypacks are still too expensive.
D1X body is around €7000, add to that another €2000 in spare batteries and flashcards/microdrives to have capacity for a day in the field (plus the lenses of course) and you're talking a major investment.
