Hey guys,

Just wanted to get some opinions on these shots before I actually uploaded. The 400D certainly produces very different images than my Powershot did, and I've had to alter my editing workflow a bit.

Here are a few of the best ones from today's flight:

4

Are these okay quality/motivewise? If they are, should I upload #1 or #2? I can't decide...

Thanks!

edit: added image #4.

#4 won't get through due to slight motion blur, and to me, it looks oversharpened to compensate.

#1 and #2 might get dark.

#3 is my favourite, but the scenery looks blurry - and that might get it rejected.

Perhaps the person (a non paying member - nothing against them however) whining about pre-screening threads who decided he should take aim at me might like to also contribute their opinions?

Yep, had my shutter speed set too low. I did overcompensate, but it looked even worse before. I s'pose there's nothing to be done about that one.  Sad

Agreed. If you don't like what's going on in this board, leave.

Another thing you might try is to set your flash up so that it acts as a fill light. This can be useful in interior views. You don't want it set too bright, just enough to lighten things.

Hi,
I really like the first one (love the view down on the runway), but unfortunately I have to agree with Cpd, none of them will get accepted.

#1 and 2 are too dark, also check them for dust-spots!
#3 and 4 are blurry/soft.

Cheers,
Florian

Okay, I did another edit of #1, but it has created some grain on the panel:

Better?

Haha, isn't that great? I get a kick out of it every time I'm in that 152.  Big grin

Any other opinions?

Well, despite some rather negative opinions, I gave the shot a go and it got in.
