I've really seen some weird things here but this one I can't understand.

I uploaded this picture recently, as it has a new job and thought it may be interesting for the site:

Big version: Width: 1200 Height: 867 File size: 590kb

You can find other pics from its former country and job here as it saves me listing them all here :

Now my shot was rejected, as the screener said: "Info = airline should be "Helilink / Westpac Trust". Please use Auto-Complete on upload page to fill in info."

This info is now incorrect, as Westpac used to sponsor the aircraft when it was doing search and rescue in its previous country. It is now operated on behalf of the Aus Government. Westpac now has nothing to do with this chopper. What is not to understand?

I work in conjunction with these people The helicopter crew and our crew do the same job and I know that Westpac have nothing to do with our job, so why should it be included in the details? Details change on aircraft that are previously uploaded.

It's in the same situation as this aircraft. It used to be sponsored for SAR and now its not doing that role:

Works for the same company as it did, but now used under different roles.

I posted here because I explained this on the appeal, but I wasn't listened too.

Thanks

Martin.

How about appealing and giving the explanation there?

you included no information when you appealed the shot, which is an automatic rejection.

was also rejected as being oversharpened.

I filled the comment box on the appeal page. So I'm guessing it did not come through?

I would have thought from the look of this picture and the older ones, it would be pretty self explainitory, that the details I uploaded with, made sense.

I have gotten a few rejections because the auto fill filled in the wrong stuff. Did you select I would like to add my own info the add to the upload page. Just trying to figure why the screener told you to use the auto fill box when on the side of the helo it says customs.

Beats me. All I did was remove the "Westpac Trust" from the airline field as its not relevant anymore.

Not sure why but that will do it I think, The "system" is pretty strict about altering Auto add fields, would likely have been better to manually enter HeliLink or Helilink-Australian Customs.

And this crappy temp monitor precludes me from commenting on Royal's overshapened comment.

Cheers

If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

If it is oversharpened, then it's not by much. There are some halos in a few areas, but nothing that you can't find on numerous photos that have been accepted in recent times.

Seems like even if I'd have done that it would have been wrong. This "system" as I said, is not really great, as aircraft operators change and so does the role of aircraft from time to time.

So do I try an upload again, with just Helilink in the airline field?

Where?? Cause nothing was changed in the editing of the pic that would have introduced halos...

Hello Martin.

Given the technical problems with the site over recent times, I am sure there will be many who could quite believe you did add a comment in your appeal but it somehow disappeared in transit to the Head Screeners.

I wonder whether it might be beneficial to add another sentence to the new upload page in the bullet point about the 'Auto Complete function' in the 'How to improve the chances of success' section, words to the effect that:

'....it still remains your responsibility to check the accuracy of the resulting information. If you notice that the information generated is now incorrect, please add a note to the the screeners about this when you upload your image.'

That way screeners will have their attention drawn to the potential conflict between the Auto Complete-generated information and what the uploader is submitting, and they can then do their own further checks as they see fit. Also, A.net is further clarifying for its uploaders their responsibilities.

All the best.

Paul

I see them around Customs and the Australian flag on the door, and also along the edges of the stripe on the side.

No disrespect, Eadster, but I see them too. However, I also agree with:

Why would you think that?? My reply was probably a bit off. To be honest I was more worried about the info rather than the other minor details. Sorry if it seemed that I didn't appreciate the help as I did.

The shot has been re-uploaded with some changes made to both info and the shot itself. We'll see if my explanation of the info change will go through this time.

Thanks all for the help.
