If the un-informed are already paranoid about us spotters and our 'big' lenses, one can only imagine what they'll think when they see you with this:

Sigma APO 200-500mm F2.8/400-1000m F5.6 EX DG

Woah, that looks like a bazooka. Try to get that through airport screnning, well, actually, if the TSA missed a handgun a week or so ago, I think, just maybe they'd overlook that!  eyepopping

No? Is it a Snow Cone maker?

An Espresso machine?"

I don't think you need to get up along the perimeter fence line to get a good shot with this mutha .... you could be in the next suburb and still have cropped out too much of the AC!

Awesome lens. I'd take one... too bad it'll be priced way into the atmosphere.

Lol 16kg..I can see the logic in the green colour; I bet the birders will love it.

Wow! But I won't be saying wow at the price tag however.  Sad

The dream lens!

I seen the original of this lens. It looked a lot less bazooka like in black. (still looked like a bazooka though)
I wonder why the decided to color the lens green?

Any guess of what the price is going to be? I say $15,000 USD

~its a JEEP thang~
