I've a problem with one of my photo I though it would be accepted on a.net, and i cannot understand some reasons for the rejection.
It was reproached for :
- image quality poor
- processed in an unacceptable manner (i think i know why, due to the "wavy sky in the corners)
- the main subject not correctly centered in the image (huh! for me the plane is centered ! )
- the aircraft is too far in the distance
- soft appearance
If someone could help me to improve or explain, I would appreciate.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW PHOTO SCREENER
Let me start by saying that due to the sun glare/reflection 'burning' a substantial part of the fuselage, this picture will not be accepted here.
Having said that, in order for you to better understand the other rejection reasons, I think Andrew has pretty much given a good explanation. The aircraft is too far right and a bit high in the frame, and too distant (you can crop closer, there is no apparent reason for a wider crop). Also, you have increased way too much both contrast and saturation, resulting in the unnaturally looking colors and the 'banding' in the sky. And the aircraft looks soft.
Next time you're shooting against the sun, try to have a big part of the aircraft blocking the sun (tail), or try to shoot when there are some faint clouds, that will help to keep the glare under control. Of course, you can always use filters for that, too!
Hope it helps .
