Hi there,

Can you guys tell me how the contrast is on this photo? I just got a MacBook Pro 17" and I´m not sure about the contrast and getting used to the monitor. After having a big load of shots rejected for contrast, which 4 months ago would of not been the case, I´m kinda confused. I perrsonaly find the shots way overpunched but if a.net wants it, well i got no other choice.

Thanks,
Sam

Jetfreak, No I didn´t use a lens hood, would that help in those kind of situations? I thought the lens hood would only be usefull in situations where some sun light could shine on the glass.

Needs more contrast, looking very flat at the moment

Hope you don't mind. I played with it a little. Boosted the contrast.

the lens hood protects the lens from light which is coming from the side - if there´s dust on your lens, the light from the side would be reflected by the dust and then the image would look pale. (that´s what i´ve read in a book  Smile )

Guys,

Hows the contrast, sharpness, and grain on the following shot?

http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/2996/zrhimg820copybv6.jpg

I did some messing around with the ICC profile. Also photoshop makes contrast look a lot punchier, I always have to edit with the "Macintosh Proof Color" setting on to get accurate contrast rendition.

Thanks,
Sam

Looks fine to me! Beautiful shot - get that livery while you can as it is quickly being phased out.
