I recently took this, which some of you may have seen in the "post your unworthy shots" thread or my trip report.

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/IMG_0924editfinal2.jpg

I'm hoping that due to the rarity of the shot, some of the flaws will be overlooked.

What can I do to get rid of some of the grain? Will the blur be an issue considering its rarity?

Thanks for any advice you'd like to give. I've spend hours on this shot and this is by far my best result so far.

I would pull it, way to blurry and grainy.  Sad

Interesting shot still though  Smile

45 pictures of that bird in the database - not rare enough, I'm afraid. It's just my opinion, but I would pull it.

Nice picture, anyway. At what focal length did you take it?

I have NoiseNinja. If you're willing to point me to the original, I can certainly have a go.

not rare enough,

I was referring to the motiv, but I see your point

158mm. But there was a bit of cropping going on there too.

The original has had alot done to it. The majority of grain has come from the sharpening.

It's blasphemy, I know, but I used "Sharpen more" as that gave by far the best result, despite the grain.

Noise Ninja eliminates noise, not blurriness.

Lost case I'm affraid, but I still enjoyed looking at it. Thanks  Smile
