Hey,

Going to Corfu on 1st Aug. Seen that the airport can be quite nice for spotting inbound aircraft... where should I go to get the best shots? Any other tips for Corfu Airport are most welcome!

Thanks!

I think the best place is the bridge right behind the airport. Coordinates: 39.5897281039, 19.9154923987

In the morning, the best spot is definitely the terrace of the Hotel Royal.

I agree.
Actually it's one of the best spots in the world, with a fantastic background scenery..
And in the afternoon, when the sun turns west; just go via a dam to the other side of the bay. Lay down on the beach and watch the aircraft until sunset.

Enjoy your stay!
I'll be there in mid september and I am looking forward to it.

gr,
Freek

Have a look at my homepage ( http://nuespotter.free.fr/spotp/cfu/index.htm ). There I have a description of some of CFU's spots.

Enjoy your stay there, it's a great island.

Thanks very much, that is an excellent resource!

Is there an online timetable for CFU flights? So that it is possible to know which flights are due when?

Yes, certainly the best spot where I've been.

Corfu's other 'airfield' is a few kilometres to the north by the way.
