I have a shot of a Dakota in RAF colours that I reckon looks nice when viewed in black & white - kind of gives it that ' Berlin Airlift ' look.
Do I need to do anything different if I submit it this way ?
I have seen a good few shots on here in B&W that do look very effective - especially classic war-birds ..... grateful for any advice.

If it is a modern image, ie taken in colour, then it can be accepted if black and white is appropriate for the subject. A Dakota would certainly be an example where this is possible.
However, the image is taken in its entirety and so the background has to be appropriate too. If, for instance, there are modern jets in the background then it might not be suitable.
Sepia toned images are not, unfortunately, acceptable so make certain that the image is a true black and white one.
