The northwest picture looks way too smooth to me. The registration has been blurred out and many lines, especially the wing and the black line near the nose have become jaggged. When you edit a picture, try not to use so much SmartBlur... sharpening may help, but a rescan might be the best solution.
With the Canadian, it looks off-center and the white almost looks too bright compared to the rest of the picture. I think it could get on with some cropping and maybe a little less brightness/more contrast. Why was it rejected?

In my opinion, the aircraft itself is too small. It shoud fill the frame better. And (that might be a personal thought) the US Airways A321 is disturbing a little bit. Besides that, I also think, that the picture is a bit overexposed (look at the fuselage, for example).
Off center and ban this smooting feature! If the scan doesn't look godd, forget about and try the next.
